Saturday workout - Shadowbox

Created for Saturday workout theme shadowboxes/shrines
This one is based on a theme of those hazy summer days when you go off with your partner for a country break
'Weekend Retreat'
The small part at the forefront is a miniature painting i did on a piece of stampbord.
The mini wooden sign post i have hung on to, knowing one day it would be used.
Hope you like it

NOTE You can win some stampbord pieces and lots more in my blog candy in post below

Pretty in olive ,rust and gold

There is a recipe for the challenge at The Crafty Pad It was to include 1/ at least one ribbon, 2/ some bling 3/ something layered up.

My card is layered with card and then a coloured, stamped and embossed stampbord piece, layered up on card edged in rust ink. Also layered the hearts and which are stamped, embossed in gold for bling and cut out. The ribbon and papers to match and finally a beautiful old pearl and gold jewel for extra bling. The background was also stamped with butterflies in rust

Experimenting Again - Lemon Burning

Lemon burning technique has been used to burn the edges around the torn stamped paper before i mounted onto inked background on the first atc and distressed.

The second atc has also been burned directly on a printed piece of card then distressed by sanding.

The third atc is just an extra one i made today using book text and images plus embossing

It was lovely to play today as have spent the first full day at home for a while. I enjoyed my usual experimenting :=)
