This is a thinking of you card which is done with stampbord,stamps and ribbons plus embellishments and lots of inks inks. Not sure the colour shows well on this one but its kind of antiquey browns and pinks

something new challenge & blog candy

This is for the Stamp Something New Challenge
The atc is made using a new technique i tried. The background is toilet tissue dampened and moulded to my clean dry stamp. Then when dry (overnight ) I brushed it all over with my new inksentials matte accents and left to dry then i smothered in blue sparkly stickles. and left to dry again. the final result is a raised pattern which is quite stiff from the glues. I added an image which is my own stamp design from vintage photo and cut out and added with embelishments of cord,charm and brads

Snakeskin atc

I got some fabulous snakeskin paper that was just begging for a little alcohol ink. So off i went with that and that only in mind then decided and atc was in order and from there this one was born ... that is sometimes how i create, just with one colour or material and then it just goes from there. Are you all like that too ?

If you don't already follow this one and would like access to totally free images from me then please go and add yourself to follow this one. There are new images ,backgrounds,artwork etc added daily and you can just take what you like and use how you like as long as you don't claim you made the original. Alter them, morph them, use them for your collages,atc's, cards, whatever !! ... Please let me know now and again what you like best so i can work out which type to leave for everyone.

Another page in my journal. Not much else done I am afraid as i have been having too much fun with my grandson Ethan who stayed with us last night ... Oh how brilliant are 7 year olds ?? Love this lil boy to bits !!!

Also here is my altered coaster. This has 3 layers and crackle effect. I layered the black and red acrylics with two seperate layers of crackle glaze for this effect. The whole thing was done on a sanded plain gold coaster.

Something New was 'all new ' for me as I decided to make my first journal using a new lined book, new stamps etc. Here is the book which is kind of two tone as you can see in the pics - I am setting myself the task of arting up the page for each day i use the journal this year.


This last few months i have been working on paper jewellery and some of you may have seen the odd one i have posted here but i now have decided to open a shop at 'Folksy'. All my jewellery is made from paper and card and is mixed media combinations of art work.

This one is todays make and not yet listed but will be soon.
She is a distressed,cracked and polished effect lady cameo brooch with a beautiful underlying shimmer. Hope you like her :)
