Drowning

where on earth this piece came from i dont know. I have a tendency to go with colours and images and just let them lead me where they may. this one is one I created for the Creative Spirit challenge being held by my lovely new friend Cindy. Please pop by and meet this amazing lady.

Hope you like my 4 x 4 collage piece using alcohol inks. distress inks, cosmic shimmer spray, photo paper torn image and Brilliance ink in platinum on the stamps (from my lovely friend Hilda ) and finally a little self expression in the details using white gel pen.

Oh wow, June--thanks so much for linking this up! When I saw first laid eyes on it and saw the title, I thought of it as a feminist commentary and I am blown away by it...
It can be taken in so many ways almost as if it is a mirror for the viewer to ask, "What overwhelms me?"
Brilliant!
Thank you so much for linking this up! I sure love all the techniques you used...wow!

Hi June,
I sure love this piece and I left a comment--I hope it got sent.
We are just trying to take it easy here and help Ralph get rest (I wish he'd at least take a nap, but he doesn't!)

My daughter is coming to visit tomorrow and I am so excited...She lives 10 hours away and it will be so good to see her!
Hugs,
Cindy

Ooooh this is stunning June!I truly believe that letting an image or a colour combo take you where it wants often makes for the best art.

Now this is something that you dont see everyday... and I love it! The colors are brilliant, the eyes are amazing against the colors as well. I think anyone who truly looks within can relate with this photo at some time in their lives. I for one can just recently. What a powerful peice... Thanks so much for sharing this with us. I invite you to take a look at my Creative Spirit Challenge Entry at http://scrappingwithsherry1.blogspot.com/
