I am wicked hehehe ... Over on my Darkside challenge I set a ' Dark Fairytale' theme. But couldn't resist sharing it here too lol. Hope it don't scare you all too much .. 'Mirror, Mirror on the wall, who is the scariest of them all ? '
This is an atc of mixed media, including : stamps, hand drawing, embossing, pens, inks and altered magazine photo plus a little alcohol ink
For this weeks challenge at Mixed Media Monday . I decided to add these. I have had so much fun in 2008 with mixing inks, paints & pens with stamps sometimes too. These are two mini stampbords likely to end up as card embellishments or fridge magnets
Over at arty girlz the challenge is 'for the home' and this is my attempt - A fridge magnet. This is an art piece on stampbord and i called it 'mixed emotions' based on the idea that nothing is entirely black and white. This is a mixed media piece and has two round magnets secured to the back. Already has a home ... yep my fridge hehehe
Thanks go to a very special blogger and friend Serena Who passed on to me this very special award. This is one of the nicest awards to recieve from another friend on the net and i feel really honoured that this wonderful lady and artist would think of me to pass along to, thanks Serena. I am thrilled to post this
Just had to try out some new things i bought today. This is the result. I used stampbord square clear butterfly stamp black stazon Pentel Hybrid white gel pen Adirondack alcohol inks - stream, wild plum and pearl mixative + blending solution memory foil tape
The memory tape wasn't the best but it was my first time using it so not worried , will just need practice
I am a lucky lucky girl this christmas hehehe ... must have been extra good this year because - I won some blog candy at Jennies place on christmas eve and then also got some christmas spending money from my hubby ( no guesses as to where that will go hehehe ) and ... today i got a lovely christmas blog prezzie from Gayle - This beautiful award. Thanks Gayle its wonderful . The rules are to give it to five others, who shall give it to five others.Link the one you got it from, and also the ones you give it to - then let them know. And there is more... You have to write down five things you are addicted to. I would like to have awarded this to many of my blogging friends but had to choose just 5 so I award this to....
Two New projects finished. The first is called 'Practice Makes perfect' Its a pastel background of deep blues, green and turquoise which are some of my very favourite colours. Then stamped in stazon black and added some cut outs from pretty black and silver paper
The brooch is another of my paper brooches complete with pin. This one is a cracked and vintaged look achieved with glaze and ink and alcohol ink ( will be adding tutorial on that immediately after this post on Juned crafty tips blog )
Its been a crazy last week and had my sons 30th birthday plus a charity run with santa and his sleigh. Today there were no demands on me and i was able to finish these two things i have been working on. One is just a basic pastel scene of a walker on a beach the other is a technique i found by playing with the eraser on my pencil while deciding what to do with the colourful pastel background i had made. I thought it would be fun to use the eraser on the pen as my drawing tool and this guy was created
Also for the digital challenge at artarazzi i made this one

This one is an atc size and is backed onto a background of pink Food colouring which makes excellent ink plus some butterscotch alcohol ink. The image is from http://www.outsider-artists.net/ I have used a glaze ove this one which brings out the colour really nicely Secondly is my Dickensian atc with dickens himself and a ladyfriend i added and also added some real faded text from dickens words themselves plus a feather and other alterings, background is faux leather card in blue and inked in stazon black
I am giving away graphics for your crafts each day over at my creationsby jj site Todays are a sheet of my 'faux stamps' for collage etc. Each day from now until christmas day you will find a new set or single graphic which you can download and keep. Thought i would make a mans card for and added challenge. I always think its so hard to make them and it will come in handy in my box of ready cards :) I have added a tutorial on distressing the image and card on my Junes crafty tips blog. Thanks for the challenge Steph , I enjoyed it :)
Turtle Dove card I made . This was quite a bit different from my usual style. I had fun making this. The dove is carrying the turtle charm and is made by stamping and embossing the turtle then adding to a cut out oval which i edged in silver and layered upon the card with added ribbon
In the blended line between conciousness and sleep you can find me. There lies the land where my soul walks, leaving footprints sure and deep. Strength and sureness, power and revelation are felt, eyes glimpse the truth, and my feet know the way. Yet as I sink or rise from either side that hazy place I am lost in worlds surreal and dangerous, unsteady and fragile. A waking world, and a world of sleep? One they call truth, one they swear is a lie, neither a place of safety, nor one where I really reside. Either side of my peaceful plain, I spin like a top in the harsh winds of time, thrashed by the whip of uncertainty, and thrown back and forward untill.... I reach the tranquil line and sink within soft folds of temporary calm.
This is an atc i wanted to make for a while. I use a hot glue technique which i have added to my crafty tips blog in a tutorial
In addition to the above atc i also made this one with the wonderful background forartcreationsfriday
Twenties style inspired this winged atc lady. I called this one 'Flappin' Mainly done with two different patterns made from food colourings (see my tutorial on junes crafty tips )
Also I just recieved this wonderful award from Maxine
and I wanted to say a really big thanks for this one my friend. I have the award given twice now and have passed it on but its so lovely when someone cares enough about your page and work and friendship to nominate you :)
