Turtle Dove

Turtle Dove card I made . This was quite a bit different from my usual style. I had fun making this.
The dove is carrying the turtle charm and is made by stamping and embossing the turtle then adding to a cut out oval which i edged in silver and layered upon the card with added ribbon

In the blended line between conciousness and sleep you can find me.
There lies the land where my soul walks,
leaving footprints sure and deep.
Strength and sureness,power and revelation are felt,
eyes glimpse the truth, and my feet know the way.
Yet as I sink or rise from either side that hazy place
I am lost in worlds surreal and dangerous, unsteady and fragile.
A waking world, and a world of sleep?
One they call truth, one they swear is a lie,
neither a place of safety, nor one where I really reside.
Either side of my peaceful plain,
I spin like a top in the harsh winds of time,
thrashed by the whip of uncertainty,
and thrown back and forward untill....
I reach the tranquil line and sink within soft folds of temporary calm.


This is an atc i wanted to make for a while. I use a hot glue technique which i have added to my crafty tips blog in a tutorial

DOODLE STAMP SWAP

This one of mine is not stamped - I just doodled the flowers and then added the dots for a 3d look .... the sky is the limit with your imagination on this swap

Flappin

Twenties style inspired this winged atc lady. I called this one 'Flappin' Mainly done with two different patterns made from food colourings (see my tutorial on junes crafty tips )

Rainbows

The Winning project will get of a set of unique dwonloadable vintage images ( my work so they are original ) for using on your projects. New Atc's & Win Graphics

The winter seems to be so beautiful this year. Autumn is hanging in there and i felt inspired to make the atc below. One of my loves is writing poetry and although a whole poem was too much for this atc i did think a line would be nice after reading the challenge over at ARTY GIRLZ. I know that my art is hardly like the beautiful cards usually entered for this challenge but ... hopefully they will allow me to join in with my slightly different work. Its my first time and i love the arty girlz blog. In search of the most amazing art pieces, i tend to make this award VERY EXCLUSIVE , I don't give the award out very often and i don't allow it to be passed on. Romeo ATC

Background is alcohol inks and various pens and doodling. Once again a really enjoyable make. Not sure if i will be making anything today as i have so many other things i have been neglecting but it was fun while it lasted :)

Have had a really quiet weekend and made some bits and bobs but I like to add only the relevent work to my blogs. This one is my angels and demons atc and it seems ages since i made an atc i really enjoyed. I really did enjoy making this one.

Button dreamer card

Just a card i designed when in a dreamy kind of mood. Left a space for a greeting later but at the moment it has no home so staying blank :)

My Oriental Collage necklace

The beads are oriental flowers and i rescued them as i often do from old broken jewellery. I then printed off paper oriental images and chose this one to add to a metal disc i wanted to alter. I then varnished and left to dry and put the whole thing together. I quite like the result

Medusa - Mixed media atc

I always loved the medusa myth and the fabulous and intriguing imagery it always produced in my head.Here is my version of 'Medusa' The image was sketched in pencils and then torn from my sketchbook and then mounted on a stamped background which i had coloured. I then drew the snakelike hair across the whole area and painted with a mixture of watercolour,acrylic and pens.

This is my purple grass atc. Stamped, water colour paints and cut out and placed on background of acrylic in metallic green, doodle in sakura and purple glitter glue

More paper jewellery

Todays makes so far are this bracelet made with beads i hand made in paper and also added wooden beads and some gorgeous two one glass ones.
The other make was an atc which was made with a new stamp and some water colour paints.

New Arch Tryptich

3 gothic arches are hinged together to form a lovely display. I enjoyed making this one and have named it LIPSTICK,POWDER & PAINT.
I found it therapuetic making this and enjoyed letting my 'girly' side loose within the subject of the arches.

Altered art pendants - Paper collage

Altered art pendants - Paper collage work.

These are my new project. I turned some cheap plastic childrens dog tags into pendants. On the double photograph
the plastic has been made to look like tortoiseshell with alcohol inks and then i built a tiny collage insert with various papers, stamp,inks and other.
I am quite pleased with the result and will be making more as i bought a job lot of these tags
