Rest time

After much consideration, i have decided to take a week out and actually turn off my computer and rest. I have always thought of my time on pc as leisure time but as i work on it so much too, and because i have been so unwell lately, I am going to include the time i spend online in my 'break time' and so won't be posting here for a week. I will miss everyone but will be back soon. In the meantime have a lovely week everyone

Colour create - Lady at the races

Ruby cream & Gold is the theme at colour create so i thought i would give it a go. I used one of the colour ladies from my blog Dezinaworld and printed it on to a sheet of canvas that my wonderful friend Hilda kindly sent to me. I then coloured the scarf and gloves in gold pen and the flower in her pocket in ruby pen then added three gold and ruby teardrops. I then sewed cream embroidery thread around the edges to make this fab patch which i may add to a pair of jeans :)

Another experiment and didnt cause a fire :)

Today was an experiment art day, that is when i actually FEEL like i am making art so i hope you like this one.
I used:
paper artsy stamp
stazon saddle brown
toilet tissue (clean i promise hehee )
lemon juice to burn edges
beaded texture gel
hologram embossing powder
mica pigment powder

a crafty afternoon

A little crafting was needed today as i needed a let out for hands on creativity so here is the result . 3 aceo's

The creative spurt was inspired by my lovely friend cheryl who sent me a wonderful postcard made from my very own Dezinaworld images AND some wonderful images and lace ( used on the red/orange coloured aceo ) Thanks so much cheryl it was a wonderful suprise and you are just so kind to me. You inspired these today

Etched encaustic

I dont get very much time to craft these days but had time this morning to play with a piece of previously made encaustic background i had left for future use. I cut it to atc size and etched a face into the wax. Yep that sounds like me doesnt it ? back to my experiments hehe ... this is the result. what do you think ?

A little make

I recieved some beautiful stamps in the post from my lovely friend Jude. I am thrilled with them as my fave thing is stamping and Jude is just THE BEST !! thanks my friend, you are an angel and .... special hugs for you this week too

Lots to do - Paper

The challenge at lots to do is to use paper :)
here are two i made today

The paper on the green lady with the flower in her hair is sparkle paper plus paper lady and paper flower both images from Dezinaworld collage sheets

The second atc is also using alcohol inks and other dyes on photo paper for the background and the image again from Dezinaworld collage sheet

I swapped with Hilda who sent me some amazing atc's which i have yet to take pictures of and post but Hilda kindly scanned these for me so i can share here too
