Grunge page 5

 This one is called vintage memories
The background was stamped with crackle effect stamp onto damp photocopy paper using distress ink (walnut stain ) then i distressed it more with some antique linen and then wet it again. I dried and attached to the grunge board and worked from there.the photo is not great as there was not much light.

grunge book page 4

I am getting there with the Grunge book pages. I need to make ten in all and this is number 4
this one is called 'create your dreams' I created this one using a few different kinds of techniques and materials. inks,glue, a tinfoil wrapper (recycled choc teacake wrapper ) for texture. alcohol inks, mica pigment, spray mists, and more. Its definitely grungy lol but i wanted texture and i wanted the ballet dancers as the dream.

Grunge book page 1

 I am joining in the fun grunge book swap at  lots to do forum 
 this is my first page which is entitled Wish you were here - Image from my  Dezinaworld   beach collage set. I also used distress inks and some old tags etc

Also I made this from my new tag set at Dezinaworld  This one was really easy i just added more colour and some ribbon and raffia and it was done

Art room hanger

 This is a double sided hanging piece i made using  a little slide mount that my friend Jude included in her wonderful christmas gift to me. I added two tiny images back to back ,i alcohol inked the frame then added stickles (icicle) to sparkle it.I added the lovely metal corners that i got from my lovely friend Hilda a while back and  I filled the aperture with the images with  3d clear gloss the dried (one side at a time of course) I glued some old costume jewellery at the bottom and ribbon to the top.

Angel Face & Free background for you

Beer mats to coasters

 I needed some new coasters so what better than old beer mats to start with.
I used a collage background from a set i created for Dezinaworld (the background set is called Backgrounds Deluxe and will be launched next month ) I printed it off twice and covered both sides of the beer mat. I distressed the edges slightly with metallic rub in colour in green and copper and then used Glossy accents over the whole of both sides to give a varnished look.

Snowdrops & a freebie

 Hi everyone. I know its intermittent when i post on here but am definitely doing more crafting these days. I thought i would share this one with you today which is my little depiction of some snowdrops. This is on a small 1 inch oval and drawn with pens. I am entering it into the Lots to do forum challenge

Below is my piece altered in paintshop pro using a frame from the 30 printable frames kit  from my Dezinaworld shop  I love tjhe gold with green and so made the 'dancing Queen title to match. Click on image for closer look.

Two New for the New Year

 Happy New Year everyone. I thought i would pop by and post some new pieces i made. I am determined to get more crafting done this year than i did last. These two are a gothic arch with a kitty theme on embossed card which was distressed and then silver outlined in places. Pens also add the finishing touches to the lady image. and  a twinchie (two inch square ) which was based on metal and metalic markers background using pva glue to seal and then finished off with siver metalic memory tape.I wanted to bring old vintage image together with a modern metalic look.

Broken ATC

 Hi all, well i had a little time this morning and decided not to fill it in with stuff that 'needed doing' but instead decided to do something i wanted to do. Now my crafting stuff is all so deep in the cupboard and no room to breath in there that i can't find many materials or rather i don't fancy digging in there to find inspirational materials. Sooo All i have available at the moment are, pens, papers,inks and stamps. I wasnt in the mood for stamping so made a collaged atc instead using materials i had cut out from magazines etc. This one is called 'Broken'

 I do hope everyone is ok and having a great pre-Christmas time. I have a few health issues as you may already know but am ok and working through them. I will hopefully get back later and comment on blogs and hopefully catch up a bit with my blogging friends.

Back again

 Hi all, I have been busy with graphics lately so not made a lot of art either physical or digital as you can see. I do however have a new blog which acts as a relief from both as i dont make anything special for it, just add old pieces of art,poetry and general daily stuff as well as personal photo's etc. its on my Dezinaworld addy/handle so i dont get to see my old friends much over there so would you do me a favour if you havent already ? please add to follow me at the new on UNWRAPPING MY HEART   then I will be able to keep up with my good blogging buddies more as i am often over there working on Dezinaworld and things. I will still be posting here but until i get a bit more time to play, its not that often and  ....... I miss you ..... (sob!! sob !! )

Ok in the meantime, here is one I made yesterday for a new digital challenge I found called Digital Montage Studio 
 There are a couple of prompts, the word 'Reflections' (interpreted any way you wish ) and a lovely seed pod image. Do pop by and try it. Hope you enjoy my version.

Collage ? yes really ? yep I did

 Lol well the title mainly is about my lack of creativity for ever so long. well thats not strictly true. I have just been so busy creating digitally and getting over a trapped nerve that it seems like my physical art is so lapsed that i wonder sometimes if i am ever going to make something. well today I did !! In fact I began an album for my mothers birthday in December but it needs a lot more work yet. But also made this 4x4 mixed media collage. ... woohoo !!! it felt sooo good to create.

Two for the weekend

 Hi all, I know i am not posting too much on here lately, just busy with my Dezinaworld blog. I have had time though to play a little this last few days and one of the things i really wanted to do was a piece for the Digital whisper challenge, The love Kimmie gave is the gorgeous flowery background to play with and the above image is what i made .. its very whimsical which was a nice thing to do. Below is a christmas ornament die cut that i got from my lovely friend Chris   I had a wonderful play with my dezinaworld vintage angels and some Stickles... what fun

Christmas Belle and a new personal blog

 Hi everyone, I am so pleased to be creating for fun again. I am starting to get busy with the bling for christmas decor and will share pics when i am done. Also I have a new personal blog where i will be sharing all kinds of stuff, not just art. I have already made a few posts so hope you will come and follow me over there as i can also keep up better with you from there. Its 'Unwrapping My Heart'  I will be so, so happy if my followers here will add to follow me there  :) I know i havent been the best blogger lately but that should make it easier for me to come and visit you from there.
Now on to today ... Over at Dezinaworld  where we have being posting christmas things and having fun with  our new Giveaway Everyone Wins Challenge,my wonderful friend and designer Gayle Page Robak, has created a wonderful collage set called Christmas Belles  
 Gayle is such a talented lady. I adore her work and I just had to have a play with the new set and create something. this is my piece. I hope you like it.

Theme Thursday

 My arm seems almost healed now and I feel good :) I have been very busy making collage sheets and png sets for my other blog and took a break to make this one for the challenge over at Theme Thursday. All the steampunk parts are from Dezinaworld and the man is also from the Dapper Dons set there. The map is a public domain image.

Finally I create & prizes for everyone

 Hi everyone, I finally was able to createone small item. Over the last 6 weeks or more i have been struggling with arm pain and couldn't create at all. Now I am able to work for a short while without too much pain so i am on the mend i think :) So here is my atc which i created for one of my favourite inspirational challenges the Lots to do challenge,
Background is designed using different autumnal colour inks and then I used a black vines and bird silhouette stamp and layered on the top of that, some die cut leaves which were sprayed with cosmic shimmer in 3 colours.
Oh and please pop by my Dezinaworld   as i am doing a challenge there where EVERYONE WINS. its a papercraft challenge and each person that enters gets a prize. Have a lovely week everyone.
