I often wonder what the people in antique and vintage photographs were like. what lifestyles they had and what jobs etc. This man i decided, looked proud, i think he was a quiet hero hence this atc.
Background embossed then added altered foam curl and stampand then i put it through a corrugating press.
I have lots of peel offs which are great for cards but what else can i do with them ? i thought. I decided to try them out on an atc, I stuck them down on this one which was painted in acrylics with mesh pattern (stuck down before acrylic white ) then when it was dry i placed the peel off patterns down and sprayed with cosmic mists. It seemed to work quite well so i am pleased with the results and will use them again
The first one is a 15 inch x 15 inch canvas and i only just finished it. This one i called Victory ... the poem is from Shakespeare and to me it speaks of freedom.
The second piece took a few days to dry its my first easter egg. The egg is boiled then added layers of alcohol ink, glittery embossing powder (heat slowly and carefully to avoid the egg cracking -I did it in four turns with cooling gaps )and then its sealed in pva glue
ADDING THIS ONE IN ........... Today i made a piece for the fun challenge at Mixed media Monday so thought i would add it into this post - here is what i made for the 'laughter ' challenge
I got just one thing done today but enjoyed every minute of it. This is a card for the Stamptacular sunday challenge
Its got two stamps on it both have been embossed in purples and copper. the circle stamp is from polkadoodles and the 'faith stamp lady from the crafty pad- There are numerous more circles in the background which is records and record players old style
Hi all, i am going to scotland for a short break over the weekend and wont be making art at all lol so i am posting my last pieces for now. I promise to try and get round blogs more as soon as i get back, have been visiting everyone slowly but surely and will continue
Hope everyone has a fabby weekend
Both these atc's have the same painted background but then i altered them even more to get a light and dark effect
The three muses challenge this week is using stamps in your creation. This was what came up with i hope it fits ok
I used : fun foam, alcohol inks, ink, paints, sticky criss cross material (sorry forgot the name ) and postage stamps and black stickles
Hi all, firstly i have had a mad time but have had to keep the drawing of the blog candy (due 8th ) back as been too busy and will be away this weekend but i promise to do it when i get back from my holidays and contact the winner ( probably mid week next week )
This one is a 4 x 4 on board covered in peach ink and then also sprayed with cosmic shimmer and drops of alcohol ink in rust. The image is from my Dezinaworld Wedding 1 set and printed on canvas then edged with a little coppery shimmer rubbing oil and two photo corners - The whole thing embossed in copper round the edge
Using a heat gun, acrylic paint, fluffy stuff and alcphol inks i covered this journal front. I found the plain version in a charity shop and it has little inner pockets that i can use for keeping small art pieces and it has a great vintagy paper inside so i was pleased with it and got to work on it -
My first entry is some inchies i made which fit nicely with room for more later
Its not particularly like me to choose pink in my theme but it just seemed to work with this one.
The girl image is from my Dezinaworld mono touch collection and printed on canvas. The lace and beads are hand sewn onto the atc size image and then i topped with a small charm with pink stone and a butterfly
I wanted to enter this atc into the theme thursday challenge too which is pink and black
Another card I made, think this will be it for a little while as i need to go back to my arty messy look i am missing it lol
Hope you like this one its for priscillastyles
